Berlin Kaplani May Be the Best Turkish Movie Ever

Wednesday night, February 8 we saw what may be the best movie ever made in Turkey.  We were accompanied by our hotel booking manager here in Istanbul who arranged seats for us in the middle of the tenth row in the cinema with nobody in front of us to block our view.  And the audio was breathtaking* to say the least.  The movie was Berlin Kaplani starring Ata Demirer.  See http://www.sinetif.com/berlin-kaplani-izle/ for a trailer and details.

The reason I say it may be the best is that it has comedy, action, passion, suspense, love, good guys, bad guys, intrigue, chase scenes, outdoor adventure, compassion, family values, and apple pie (or was that baklava?) all rolled into one.  Also it may be the best because we’ve never seen another Turkish movie and we did not understand a word (other than a few in German).

My recommendation though is to see it when you are in Turkey unless you hear of a better all-Turkish movie. Then, I recommend that you see  that one instead.

*Breathtaking = loud.
